The Priest of Corruption

The Priest of Corruption

Synopsis:

"If I had known that I would be sucked into the game, I would never have chosen this job." These are the regretful words of the main character, who had been enjoying his unconventional profession until he found himself unexpectedly transported into the very world he was playing. Now, he has become a fallen character, embodying the role of the 'Priest of Corruption'—an obscure and underappreciated job.

Haunted by his decision, the main character embarks on a journey filled with countless trials and errors, all while inhabiting the body of a mangkae. As the story progresses, he evolves into a seasoned priest and ventures across the world. However, he harbors a secret: the god he worships is malevolent, and in order to resurrect this beloved deity, he must clandestinely gather the sealed divinities.

The narrative takes place within the Cult of Corruption, a church dedicated to venerating the Mother of Corruption. The protagonist, Marnak, is deeply involved in this institution. In the game's lore, the church has already met its demise, and players must trace its remnants, overcome arduous trials, and gather essential materials to assume the role of a priest of corruption. Unveiling the backstory entails spoilers that I have chosen not to disclose.

Furthermore, the Priest of Corruption occupation suffers from notoriety due to its excruciating job transfer process, challenging gameplay mechanics, and underwhelming performance.
